Sentry: Acuitec’s Real-time Monitoring Support System
Sentry is Acuitec’s solution for monitoring our implemented systems. Sentry is a framework for monitoring practically anything that a customer would want: memory of CPU, backup of database, memory utilization, processor utilization. Our proactive approach helps us to immediately identify causes that may inhibit our system from working at optimum condition, or may even cause our system to malfunction.
One routine functionality of Sentry is a real-time monitoring system that checks to make sure our servers are running properly. If a server goes down, our support team will receive an email within minutes.
Additionally, Sentry continuously monitors other HL-7 peripheral systems that interface with our own. We can identify potential problems by comparing the number of HL-7 messages processed with the number of HL-7 messages that resulted in an error. By monitoring peripheral systems, we can assure that our system continues operating at optimum level. If problems exist in a peripheral system, we can notify the people responsible for correcting the problems.
